From the streets to homes, we provide a transitional space for dogs to both heal, live, and receive optimal love and affection which is what is lacking in the streets today.

Volunteering at Perros Libres is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of Guatemala's street dogs while experiencing the natural beauty and vibrant culture of Lake Atitlán. Every day brings new challenges and rewarding moments as you help care for rescued dogs, assist with feeding, cleaning, enrichment, rehabilitation, and support the daily running of our rescue.
Whether you're staying for a few weeks or a longer period, your time, compassion, and enthusiasm will have a lasting impact on the dogs who depend on us.
