San Jose Chacaya needs our help!

It’s time my friends to make a great change in the lives for all of the animals in all of Guatemala. If things are not done, the animals will continue to overpopulate and litter the streets with more death and disease. All of this horrendous cruelty like “street poisonings”, animal abuse, and neglect, needs to come to an end.

Thankfully courageous people and organizations are stepping up. Casa Suli’s Animal Society made a groundbreaking change in Solola, Guatemala by organizing with the local governments help, a 3-day sterilization event focused on getting all the street dogs possible in the largest sterilization event the department has ever seen!

With the hard work and collaboration of Casa Suli’s Animal Society and Geovets international, look at this incredible set up:

Wow! Great work!

With the vet team being hugely staffed by a powerhouse of an organization called “Geoveterinary International”, (or Geovets as is said) around 29 vets and assistants were posted up to run the entire medical side of the event: surgeries!

In the quick course of 3 days, around roughly 7 hours of work a day, approximately 350 animals done that will not be contributing to overpopulation. The streets get a lot safer, and cleaner! The lives of the animals improves dramatically, as well. :)

Now we are being asked by a different municipality to spearhead the next sterilization in their town!

So we are ready to help make that happen…

(Dun dun dun dunnnn….)

We are announcing a new sterilization campaign for San Jose Chacaya!

We are aiming to raise a total of $3000 USD (~22,500 Q) to cover the cost of both days of the clinic, including at least 80 dogs we will be able to sterilize (with space for more) if time permits!

  1. We have the amazing Dr. Isael from Clinica San Martin organizing the vet team,

  2. The Municipality of San Jose Chacaya providing $533 USD (~4000 Q) to fund the event,

  3. And the United States Peace Corps helping facilitate the event with local meetings!

Can you help us make this happen?!

Let’s make history for Guatemala!

We will be updating ALL along the way on the fundraiser page, and making social media content to show all the steps of making this event happen. We can only do it with your help!

Talk soon my friends, and adios!
